Strawberry season is here!
There are many places and ways to enjoy the summer’s sweetest fruit.
 So grab your phone or camera and let's capture some memories that you'll treasure forever.

Here are some great tips and activity ideas to help you and your family enjoy this delicious fruit, and make some lasting family memories.

* Pick them from the patch!!!
Picking your own strawberries from a local farm is a fun family activity:
It's always worth the time and the mess!
When making plans to head out to the farm, allow enough time, pick only those berries that are completely red and firm, and remember that once you pick them you have a day or two to use them up.

* Eat them at the patch!!!
Some farms encourage you to taste the berries.  
And it warms our hearts to see kids with strawberry juice staining their shirts and dripping down their chins.
Enjoy farm homemade treats!!!
One of the best features of U-pick farms is their homemade treats like ice cream or hand pies.

* Kitchen time!!!
Hopefully, you’ll be coming home from strawberry picking with boxes and buckets of berries. 
Once you’ve all eaten your fill, you’ll probably still have leftover strawberries longing to be baked or preserved.
 It's the perfect time to bring on your strawberry recipes and have some family fun in the kitchen!

* Strawberry Festivals
Strawberry festivals have been a part of spring and summer celebrations.
Most strawberry festivals center around, of course, the magnificent strawberry and are held in either the month of May or June.
A typical strawberry festival will include a pageant for children or teenagers, lots of music, events, activities centered around eating strawberry dishes (including strawberry shortcake!), and carnival rides.
